Since 2003 she has become an Associate Professor, Head of a chair of criminal law and criminology of law faculty of the State Higher Educational Institution "National Mining University".
Shanina E.G. has also an experience of work on speciality for 34 years, work in higher educational establishment of 4 levels of accreditation on position of Head of a chair of criminal law and criminology for 8 years.
She is an author of more than scientific and practical 30 publications, collective monographs, for example, collection of normative acts „Notarial system of Ukraine”. She developed and inculcated the materials of the methodical providing of discipline the "Law-enforcement right (Notarial system of Ukraine)", «Organization of judicial bodies and law-enforcement agencies» into an educational process. Also she prepared for printing train aids «Reading-book for a course « Notarial system of Ukraine» and «Reading-book for the course of ««Judicial bodies and law-enforcement agencies».
Her public activity: she entered to the Reformation of notarial system of Ukraine Commission, took part in the lawmaking work as a member of workinggroup that prepares the project of new Law of Ukraine „About notarial system”, she was Head of state examination commission of the Dnepropetrovsk state university, Chairman of the Dnepropetrovsk regional branch of the Ukrainian notarial chamber, vice-chairman of the Dnepropetrovsk regional territorial election committee in local council in 2006.
Shanina is a founder of public fund of the citizens’ constitutional rights defence. Also she is a member of the qualification disciplinary commission of advocacy of the Dnepropetrovsk area
She is an honored head of the Dnepropetrovsk regional branch of the Ukrainian notarial chamber.
She is a councilor of the regional branch of lawyers’ union of Ukraine.
In 1997 she was awarded with a rank „Lawyer Emeritus of Ukraine”.
According to the results of 2000 she is acknowledged as the laureate of the second Allukrainian competition for the best professional achievement „Lawyer of the year”.

She is a recipient of an award Gratitude of President of Ukraine (1999), she entered into the books „Prominent lawyers nowadays” (Published by „In Yure”, 2001), „Talented countrywomen” (L.P. Shumrikova-Karagodina, Dnipropetrovsk, „Gamaliya”, 2003), «Chronicle of graduating students of the National legal academy of Ukraine of the name of Yaroslav Wise» (A publishing center «Logos», 2009).
She was awarded with the distinction of the Head of regional state administration „For region development” (2002), awarded with the Commemorative medal „For merits” (2002), with the Silver medal of the National mining university (2007), with a sign of «High achiever of the education of Ukraine» (2007), with the honoured difference of Higher council of justice (2009), with the honoured sign of the Ukrainian notarial chamber «For merits before notarial system» (2010).
